CONSULTATION AND ASSESSMENT

What does your assessment with our orthotic specialist involve?

The assessment can take between 30 mins to an hour and at your home visit we will carry out an assessment of your feet and lower limbs, we also carry out an assessment of your footwear during which the wear pattern of your footwear will be noted and you will be advised on any issues we find. At the end of the assessment we will go through the available options and design your orthotics or bespoke orthopaedic footwear for the maximum remedial results and with orthotics we make sure they will fit into as many pairs of your footwear as possible. we use the the same process for leg length discrepancy and will advise you on the best options available to compensate for the discrepancy in your leg length. If you have any questions please give us a call or use our contact page.

The examination is divided into two sections:
1. A static assessment during which we will check your biomechanics and take various measurements while you stand up and sitting down.

2. A dynamic assessment during which we will observe you as you walk (this may also be HD recorded) so we can analyse your gait.

The information we gathered during your assessment and the information you supply about your complaints, activities, foot profile and overall well-being all help  us to determine the correct type of orthotic to help you. we also make three-dimensional moulds of each foot which only takes a few minutes using our incredibly accurate moulding process. The moulds and measurements taken by us, are then used to manufacture a pair of high quality custom-made orthotics or insoles for you.

The orthotics we manufacture and supply are made in house and utilize the highest quality materials available, which are matched to the job the orthotics need to perform.
